Arts in the Parks

This summer, the National Parks of Boston will be hosting Art In The Parks: Inspired by the parks. Starting Thursday, July 22, 2021, there will be an Art Cart, with craft and art supplies for public use. Visitors will have the chance to participate in a community art project, make postcards, create art inspired by the parks, and/or color coloring pages. The carts will run weekly throughout the season, Wednesdays at Bunker Hill in Charlestown, Thursdays at the Boston Harbor Island Welcome Center Downtown and Fridays at the Charlestown Navy Yard (Attached below is the calendar and time for the art carts). NBP is recruiting 5-10 volunteers ages 15-25 to work with the Art Carts this summer and earn community service hours!

Moakley Park Trash Clean Ups

Join our partners at Boston Harbor Now as they work with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department to clean up Moakley Park in South Boston. Give back to your community and enjoy the beauty of this waterfront park!

Clean-ups occur the fourth Saturday of each month, they last 2 hours beginning at 9 am and will require picking up litter and natural debris. We’ll give you everything you need to keep you safe. Just bring a positive attitude as you help make a difference in this City of Boston Park.
